I was given this book for free to review. This book was hilarious, the dialog was spot on, and I loved the characters. This is a Book 4, and I didn't read Book 1 - 3 yet, but I had no problem jumping into the story. The previous books aren't needed to enjoy this one. It was a well paced story, there were a few points in Jamies daily work load that I felt like why is this needed but in the end I think it really adds to letting you know that her life is usually really dull and uneventful. Definitely going to continue the series ( from the beginning :P )

This was a quick evening read, and very captivating. The shortness of the story did give away the ending slightly for me, but it was well told and drew me in more as I read on. The characters were great, it's kind of a shame at how short it was because I would have loved to read a longer version of this story.

Good story.

This was an nice, quick read. The story flowed well and the characters were well written. The end was rather obvious for me but these kind of stories are a nice change from the surprise twists and such.

I loved this book. it is the first of his I've read, and I was apprehensive about starting with a side book in a series but it was lovely. Auri is raw. her life isn't written here to impress you or draw you in. I do get that this story isn't for everyone, but he makes that clear in the beginning and the end. if you consider yourself broken, read this book. but don't over analyze it, or have expectations of what you think it should deliver to you. I know when reading series people tend to build their own opinions on how people are when it isn't written out, I definitely do it. but it's explained well by Pat that it is a story he wrote for him, and it is about her. you can't really analyze that, or demand her life be something it isn't. I think broken people that can read a story for what it is without expectations can relate to the character and love her story.

i can't believe it took me so long to read this book. I'm obsessed with John cusack so I discovered the movie as I own all of his movies and fell in love with it instantly as it combined two of my favorite things, him and music. but even though this is one of the closest book to movie conversions I've come across, the book is laid out brilliantly. I'm not going to rave about all the bits I loved just read the damn thing because it's only 200ish pages. p.s. I still dislike Laura.

Great start to a series.

What was most catching about this book is that the main character lily doesn't just acclimate to the changes in her life. She is dumbfound, and unsure of everything. Many books where the main character is becoming something supernatural they take on like a badass and go with it with little hesitation. Lily isnt afraid to second guess her situation or choices which was kind of refreshing. Well written, and a great starter novel to what looks to be a larger world and series.

Hilarious.

The storyline of this book is serious, but the author did a fantastic job of lightening it through humor. There were many points that I was laughing literally out loud. The ending was abrupt which was kind of disappointing. But over all great story and characters.

Hard to put down!

This book is unlike any I've run across in a while. So good! Bryn is so lost with her rare disease, and in coming to terms with what it means for her future she discovers more about herself. Can't wait to read the next. Characters were well written and I love the world the author built.

Cute.

Nice quick read, it really felt like you were in a waiting room with her and she was making small talk with you. But as soon as she finished her name was called. Lol
