NOTHING HAPPENED. It's like 5 seasons into The Walking Dead... Everything is repetitive, anti climactic, and predictable.... except somehow more boring.
I loved how weird and dark this was! and the LGBT rep was great, especially explaining the difference between Ace/Aro.
The murder mystery aspect was fun, although predictable.

The more I read books like this, the more I realize how much I love stories about Pirates. and what's better? An all female crew.
I was at odds with the MC a few times and I took off stars because of the romance and her unlikablility at quite a few moments. but overall this was a great read!

This is supposed to be YA? it is so juvenile I find that hard to believe. the grammar/punctuation was all over the place, especially with the over use of exclamation marks. My god, how many does one need?
And look, I get that the MC is a young boy who would be no doubt going through puberty... but I really don't need or want to read about a 12 year olds boners.... to top it off some descriptions of specific objects being called "a mans part"... just no. There seems to be an obsession with the male appendage.
I thought that maybe since I was having such a hard time reading it that the audiobook might be better, cause really it was the punctuation that was really getting to me, but nope it is just the book itself that is awful.
I tried my very best and now I am terrified at how horrible the other books will be with in this world.

This was a super quick and fun little read! I can't wait for the next one. It was a perfect setting for this time of year, as the air grows cooler. definitely recommend

I liked the main character and the romance throughout the book, and it's a great premise. I just feel like nothing really happened? thankfully there will be more than one book cause this one felt like it had no purpose other than to set up the remainder of the series. It was quite slow and when I thought it was going to pick up, it would once again flat line.
I also felt that there were missed opportunities for great twists and added storyline to the plot and characters.
It's a good idea but it fell short for me. Although I am curious to see how it progresses.
