Everything We Keep by Kerry Lonsdale

I enjoyed much of the book, but I struggled with some of the traditional tropes: using amnesia as a device to explain a character's disappearance, using rape as a device for trauma... I also wondered about the vague suggestions of supernatural connection for the psychic that then fizzled. But it had a compelling style, reasonable character development, and an interesting enough story.

Honestly, it didn't do all that much for me. I found the main character to be the very definition of a Gary Stu (though I understand that some of those characteristics create conflict in later books). The resolution was extremely fast and not very satisfying, and I didn't feel as though I wanted any of the characters to succeed. They were all rather "meh" to me.
