“And while I could sit here and feel sorry for myself, wondering why all of this happened to me..I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to wish for a perfect life. The things that knock you down in life are tests, forcing you to make a choice between giving in and remaining on the ground or wiping the dirt off and standing up even taller than you did before you were knocked down. I'm choosing to stand taller. I'll probably get kicked down a few more times before this life is through with me, but I can guarantee you I'll never stay on the ground.”

OH MY GOSH!!! This book was so ridiculously good. I would definetly give it 6 stars if Goodreads would let me. It was so incredible and gah, amazing. It definetly throws the reader for a loop.

“I need a chapter break.”

Yes I seriously needed several chapter breaks during this book. It gets too intense at some points that you need to catch your breath.

Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…

This quote could not be anymore true to this book. We start off meeting our heroine, Sky. Sky is homeschooled and doesn't know much outside of what her foster mother, Karen, has taught her. And when it comes to boys? Let's just summarize, she just doesn't feel anything around them. So when she meets Dean Holder, her whole life is flipped upside down. Holder is nothing but trouble, according to the rumors. And trust me when I say there are lots of rumors about him. For once in her life, Sky is feeling everything for this boy. But love's never easy. Especially when Sky tries to distance herself from Holder but he still wants to learn more about her. Sadly, Sky's world begins to crumble when she realizes Holder isn't who he's claiming to be. When his secrets are revealed, Sky finally realizes that her life is changed forever.

“The sky is always beautiful.Even when it's dark or rainy or cloudy, it's still beautiful to look at....it'll be there no matter what...and I know it'll always be beautiful.”

The characters in this book made it even more incredible. Sky is a great heroine and you feel what she is going through. And then there's Dean and he's perfect. Together, this couple is breathtaking but they have to get past everything that's pulling them apart. But trust me when I say you'll love Sky and Dean.

“I want you to keep them open...because I need you to watch me give you the very last piece of my heart.”

This book seriously left me shocked as one by one the truth was revealed. My only warning for reading this book is that it literally breaks your heart. No one deserves to go through what Sky went through. It's truly heart breaking and you feel hopeless that you can't do anything. The best part of this book is how Colleen Hoover ties everything together in one nice, pretty bow.

So, of you want to read a book that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster, you have found the perfect one. Or, if you just want to cry your heart out give this one a go. If you don't want to willingly cry but just want to read this amazing book, then please for the love of God, have a box of tissues handy. They will be used and you will be glad you have them.
The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

An incredible sequel to an incredible series. 5/5 Stars

"You’re stronger than you believe. Don’t let your fear own you. Own yourself."

Mara Dyer knows she's not crazy, but that's kind of hard to tell people that believe she's losing it. She knows Jude's alive but no one will believe her. Her only ally is Noah and together they will try to find answers.

The characters in this book stay the same, for the most part. We're introduced to a few new ones that are important, but if I said why that would be the hugest spoiler. I do have to say that I loved how Noah and Mara's relationship blossomed, though. They are completely perfect for each other.

"If I were to live a thousand years, I would belong to you for all of them. If we were to live a thousand lives, I would want to make you mine in each one."

This is the truest quote in the book that will bring tears to your eyes when you realize the ending.

I literally could not put this book down. Normally, when I get my hands on a sequel I'm cautious because it will either be really good or just filler. I have to say that this honestly was better than the first book. The author gives us more questions than answers that we won't find out until the last book. Oh yeah, did I mention the ginormous cliffhanger. Well, there is a huge one.

I bought this book thinking the third one was coming out in June. Now it says NOVEMBER?!?!?! I can't wait that long, I'm going to drive myself insane! Michelle, how could you do this to me?

Oh, don't mind me. Just waiting while slowly dying on the inside.
