The first 25% of ya book was slow and felt like a huge info dump. At 50% I was sobbing and unwell. If you are looking for romance even as a subplot you won’t find it in this book however, if you are looking for an epic high fantasy that has you sucked in with relatable characters especially if you are a mother this book is for you. It will have you emotionally unwell though.

I liked the plot and the mystery. It was very original for it being a dark academia professor and student dynamic. The FMC was strong and determined. She grew into her own throughout the book. The MMC was possessive and I was here for it. The plot twist was somewhat predictable, but it worked into the story well.

This book was amazing. It concluded the series perfectly with some heart felt moments. I am sad to have finished just because I will miss the characters and world so much ❤️

The FMC was relatable in so many ways. If you are a book lover then you can relate to her in some way. The MMC has more depth than you would originally think. The banter and jokes are very well written. ❤️ it is not your typical romance novel.
