I enjoyed the narrator. I just felt like it was really hard to connect to the characters enough to care. There wasn’t much depth to them.
I don’t mind that it was far fetched but the ending was a bit rushed for me.
It was an easy listen. I liked the courtroom scenes the most and that wasn’t even the main storyline lol.

I find it hard to rate a collection of short stories as I loved some more than others but overall very enjoyable

This follows main character Lina who works at a tech company and is at war with her coworker Aaron Blackford. She needs a date to her sisters wedding back home in Spain and ends up agreeing in taking Aaron as a mutual favour as he needs her to be his date to a black tie event.

Tropes: co workers, enemies to lovers, fake dating

Okay so I kinda liked this. I thought it would be awfully over the top and whilst it was a little cringe at times (I don’t really like cringey romance) it wasn’t too much and I thought there were a lot of cute moments.
I looooooove Aaron Blackford - what a man

Loved the scenes with her family love Spanish family vibes it was very cutesy
I mostly enjoyed the smut it made me SHOOK definitely well done
Would probably recommend for a light and easy read

Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.
I really really need to stop reading books that are hyped especially romances.
Just whyyyyyy 😭😭 this year is the year of the DNF as time is too short to waste on books I know I’m only going to give a low rating.
The cringe level got so high I had to put down.
If it’s your thing that’s great but maybe I’m not a fan of romance anymore???? It was just cheesy

Well this was cute!
I debated over a high 3 or 4 star and stuck with 4 stars as overall good vibes from this book.

Genre/themes: children, magical creatures, cosy, self love

I think I enjoyed this as I didn’t expect too much from it. Just a feel good book exploring what it’s like to feel stuck and how to love who you are.

I really enjoyed this and I probably wouldn’t have picked this up if it wasn’t a book club pick but I’m happy I did!! I’m not a big fantasy girlie but trying to broaden my reading this year and I’m a fan!
I loved the characters all very loveable. I thought they were all well thought out
I enjoyed that it was quick and fast paced but looking forward to learning more about the world hopefully in #2

I was unsure about the multiple POVs but tbf it worked for me and I felt like I probably felt closer to the characters because of it
Sometimes you want to read about one more than the other but wasn’t the case with this

Starting a kissen fan club bc she is badass

love Christina Henry and this might have been my favourite by her so far. Definitely the best to go into this with as little background as possible.
Really enjoy her writing style and wasn’t bored or overwhelmed despite the multiple POVs.
