Interesting concept, but just a little boring? It just wasn’t as gripping as it could have been.

The book is well-written and discusses female & religious horror well, but Stephen King’s weird sexualisation of every female character in the book (including the teenagers) just grossed me out.

This book is a great economic exploration of feminism in the modern age! It makes a global analysis of how various areas of women's oppression (ie. femicide, wage gaps, educational disparities) influence their economic contributions, whilst also suggesting some possible solutions. An excellent contemporary feminist text! (Also, there is a wonderful bibliography at the back of the book full of studies and sources for further exploration of the topics covered.)

I enjoyed reading this, and it was certainly well-written, but I just don't think it's the book for me. Still, the online pdf is 10 pages, so I'd recommend it for anyone who would like to read it, since it's very short!

This book was pretty good! It's definitely more narrative-style than pure information, but the author has other works focusing on the pure clinical side of it. I definitely found it informative, though there was a lot of graphic content and I felt the author was a little reluctant to acknowledge personal mistakes at times (though I suppose that's probably typical of autobiographies!)

It's a very Hemingway novel: I would highly recommend if you like his work! I really liked the symbolism, as well as the very palpable tension throughout the novel, which is aided by the lack of context.

I absolutely adored Scout's narrative voice: the balance of childishness and maturity was excellent. The plot was well-written, and the book was engaging. However, it was a little difficult to get into, and the datedness of the language means I'm pretty sure I missed a couple of pretty significant things.
