This was so over the top and confusing. Kind of a let down compared to how the series started.

This whole series has been kind of cheesy and predictable but I am still interested enough to finish it.

Cute, fun, magical YA! I got a little bored at times & the world was confusing to me. I liked the characters & fast pacing, & enjoyed the ending!!

This was so so so beautiful. Leila Mottley is insanely talented. I loved the writing style, which immediately captivated me. I loved all the characters with all of their flaws and strengths. The depth to the story, the characters, the themes, was EVERYTHING! The resilience of these women/girls was so beautiful to read about and I highly recommend this one.

Thank you to Knopf and NetGalley for the ARC.

This was so disjointed. Every character had the same dialogue, so it felt like they were all the same. I hated this.

Okay, so there is absolutely nothing wrong with this book. It just was not for me at all. There is not really anything happening. The description of the book sounds way more interesting than what takes place - there are no 'adventures' across the city and the film project was not hilarious at all. I did enjoy that this was set in SF and the mention of lots of Bay Area locations (Livermore mention!!). Also, it's supposed to be 1993, but the entire book gave 50s vibes, which threw me off when email and VHS were mentioned. The writing style was good, the characters were well rounded, it just truly did not interest me at all.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster and NetGalley for the ARC.

I found this book to be overly cheesy, with a lot of extra plotlines that I didn't feel needed to be in the book. A lot of it was way too unbelievable, and I did not like the writing styles. I didn't find any of the characters except for Jeremy interesting. The mystery was predictable as well. I would not have picked this up if I wasn't reading it with a friend.
