A fun read, enjoyed learning about Danish culture which features slightly and also interesting to consider how a life growing up with everything used for content may affect a child.

I really like this author and whilst this book isn't as puzzle themed as some of her others she still leaves breadcrumbs for the reader throughout. Despite a magical realism element that isn't usually for me and the Inception style plot that I got a bit lost with I enjoyed this book, particularly the fairytale element which I thought was cleverly done.

Started off strong, I enjoyed the small town mystery and journalist character element. But then somehow lost its way for me at least, I just didn't feel invested and it took my an age to finish compared to the time it would usually take for a book like this.

Good enough but slightly disappointing, didn't find it as emotional as expected to - letters needed to come in sooner as it got a bit dull in the middle.

Written interview style, didn't get as absorbed as I thought I was going to but enjoyed and found wording unexpectedly funny at times.

Scottish Noir, felt connected to main character and really rooted for them. Sad to see his struggles and and getting roped into crime.

A quick read but disappointing, felt chaotic and disjointed and the story was just a bit daft for me.
