Very insightful but at certain points repetitive. I enjoyed the history of meritocracy and the connections to religion particularly.

This was the most difficult book for me to get through in the series. It started very slow…

I hope Percy gets his senses back and also I still don’t know why Harry was not chosen as perfect. I will have to read the next book to find out I guess. Also, I hated Umbridge so much, I was  smiling so hard when she was hauled away by those centaurs. Hagrid’s plot with his halfbrother was less fun to read. I also still really want to meet Slytherins who are not evil.

I love Sirius Black and I feel like this book really had more of an emotional/darker theme. It was the first time I truly realised how alone Harry is in this world. I feel so bad for him…

This book was a waste of my time. I could not stand Daisy Jones. She was a rocked out drug addict who somehow had the sun shining out of her ass. She was amazing and talented at everything while the author states that she puts no effort in learning anything about the art. The constant drooling over what a cool person Daisy Jones was supposed to be made no sense. She was a crude selfish addict, and addicts are rarely beautiful. I was supposed to believe she did all this growth outside of the book and I should just take the author’s word for it.
*SPOILERS*
Billy’s last relapse also seemed to come out of nowhere. The revelation that Julia was the one writing the thing also fell flat. The characters were semi interesting but overall I wish I had not wasted my money on this book.

Starting this book I did not really get it, but as soon as I understood it was just a big web of relationships I could not put it down. Best book I read this year!
