i love haunted house stories. this one was just underwhelming. i still had some fun listening to it though. (also, why is it so unnecessarily sexual?)

i think the tales are very readable and you get very into the character's lives and situations. at the same time, this is one of those books that is so clearly written by a man that it's painful.

the concept was very interesting and kept me reading very fast, wanting to know what came next. there were a few things that bothered me, however, if it wasn't for the last story this would've been at least a 4 star. the last story... well, let's just say that i hate that trope. hate hate hate it.
