finally we have the long-awaited story of gigi and antonio (and amara), the children of two rival families, the marchetti & the lombardi.

gigi, daughter of cristian marchetti and sister of benny, is considered a mafia princess and protected by her father at any cost, so much so that he’ll never manage to arrange a marriage for her like he did for benny.
antonio is the youngest son of the lombardi family who finds themselves at war against the marchetti because of vinny, the eldest son.

although we already know some facts from the two previous books, with gorgeous villain we retrace the story from the beginning, from the first meeting between gigi and antonio which in the timeline is even before the events that happened in gorgeous monster.

antonio is immediately obsessed with gigi, so much so that he follows her and surprises her wherever she goes, even when she goes to italy to visit her relatives. gigi on the other hand over time begins to fall in love with antonio although she knows that her father will not allow a marriage with a lombardi.

things start to go wrong when antonio finds himself head of the lombardi family and must simultaneously fight a war against his uncle who wants to come to power because he believes he’s the true successor to vincent lombardi and against marchetti.
and so their love story (and their marriage) begins!

the story of gigi and antonio is full of twists, surprises and much more and, although antonio occasionally touches the limits of psycho, we love him anyway because what kind of mafia romance would it be without a slightly crazy and morally gray hero?

with kat's story the chapter of glitter-based revenge ends! 😭
exactly one year ago i read “tis the season of revenge” somewhat by chance and from that moment on i’ve been anxiously awaiting the story of all her friends.

abby and damien's story will always be my favorite because you know, you never forget your first (crush), but i will also always remember cami & zach's, olivia & andre's, shae & nick's and now kat & theo’s.

kat and theo have worked together for years, he’s the vice president of the company and she’s his assistant; they both love to irritate each other with digs and jokes.

one day, however, when the ceo of the company (his father's best friend) decides to retire, he doesn't give his complete support to theo, because he thinks that putting him in charge without him having a life outside of work will only make him more harm than good.

this is why theo comes up with the fantastic idea of pretending to be engaged and about to get married. and who else but kat, with whom he spends a lot of hours a day together, would be the perfect candidate for this role?

kat and theo are super cute together, with their inside jokes that no one else knows and their plans to get revenge on warren (obviously based on glitter ✨) that never fail. theo is one of the most romantic male protagonists I've ever read so far, if not THE MOST ROMANTIC 🫠, a dream!

after noah and fisher, we have tripp and magnolia. brooke's done it again, she's written another 5 star book that has made me emotional more than once!!
times I cried: 5/6? who knows, many anyway, since the prologue.

magnolia and tripp have known each other for years, thanks to noah (tripp's sister and magnolia's best friend) and from the beginning they both had a crush - never gone away - on each other. obviously neither of them decided to expose themselves too much for fear of ruining the relationship and getting noah involved.

despite a thousand unforeseen events, a back-and-forth relationship with travis and an unexpected pregnancy, tripp never held back and, although he gave magnolia time to understand herself and adjust to the changes, he was always close to her and always protected her from everything and everyone.

cameo of all the brothers - landen's my favorite, can't wait to read his story!!
