Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

This series was a ride and I finished it completely in love with Peeta, wanting to hug Katniss, missing Prim, and a bit disappointed at Gale. Overall, I think that Suzanne did a great job with the character development of Katniss and I grew to love her. This book is fantastic and it really makes you reflect on human nature, government, and other important topics.
Mandatory reading for "Contemporary History" class at my uni course.
This is a very good book regarding the study of Contemporary History. It covers much of the history of this period in detail and goes into depth about various historical events. It was one of my mandatory readings and helped a lot in my study and understanding of the topic.
I don't know why it took me so long to finally pick up this series but I watched the movie last month and decided to pick up the books at least. Regarding the first book, I loved it. I found it to be very detailed and I enjoyed knowing the inside of Katniss's mind and funnily enough, it actually changed my opinion on some characters (that I had from the movies) like Peeta. Overall, I enjoyed the book a lot and can't wait to start the rest of the series.
Mandatory reading for "History of Contemporary Portugal" class at my uni course.
This is a very good book when it comes to the contemporary history of Portugal, it has all the key points and it focuses a lot on Portuguese Colonization and the process of decolonization after the 25th of April. Overall, it's a useful book and it helped me a lot when studying.
I admit I was expecting a bit more from this book. I listened to it on Audible and found it very repetitive and a bit... privileged. The first part of the book is very interesting but a bit before it reaches the middle you can start to notice that it's just repeating the same things, over and over again. Also, I didn't see much advice on "how to be braver" and to overcome difficulties besides "just do it!" which is a very toxic and privileged mentality. Especially the idea that people can just take risks at work because "what's the worst it can happen?" takes out of the equation the people who cannot afford to lose their jobs. Overall, I was disappointed with this book and I wouldn't really recommend it.
Adorei!
