the characters were so stubborn and close minded it got a little frustrating. a lot of conflict was kinda stupid and drawn out but other than that i loved the hallmark vibes and the character growth sm!! i love sarah and felipe

this was just so bad. the idea and marketing was so cool, even the love triangle was an interesting concept it was just executed terribly. the idea is that the mmc (Ryder) falls in love with the reader, but literally as soon you open the book hes confessing how much he loves you?? just the way he talks to you is so cringey and gross. he refers to himself as a “protective beast” if that doesn’t tell you enough. on top of that hes always telling you how you feel which is super uncomfortable when youre def not feeling that away. ex. he basically tells you that your jealous that hrs hooking up with someone but like… no? honestly Ryders entire character was just gross. i didnt mind his relationship with Luna and i kinda liked her. i kinda liked when she talked to the reader because she wasnt forcing emotions onto you. the ending made no sense. theres no big conclusion ryder just forgets about you? like basically it was all for nothing. so stupid

i loved zeitan sooooo much. like you dont understand. zeitan is like everything ive wanted in a main character. shes unhinged and funny from the start and can be totally unserious sometimes. shes honestly hilarious. she doesn’t forgive and forget. she priortizes revenge and doesn’t back down from it at all. she twists every bad situation into something powerful for her.
the world building sucked and i was a little confused on the world for awhile but i eventually got the gist. def katniss and peeta vibes at some parts. soooo many good quotes and i loved the writing style. my biggest complaint is the ending tho.

this book was so hard to get into for me for some reason. But once i did about halfway through i really enjoyed it. it was much better than the first. definitely darker than i though

got together too fast, the beginning was good but the last 3/4 of the book was so drawn out and pointless, characters are dramatic, didnt love the main character, loved the sister and the scene where they hide in the closet, love the recipe book at the end!!
