What a read! It was introspective as hell in that I could find traces of myself in the characters mentioned (both in June and what was made out to be of Athena). My first Kuang definitely didn't disappoint.

The goal was to start a book, to commemorate the onset of October. But in the process I came across such a wondrous tale, with child like innocence as well as mature themes, which make this book a perfect read. Definitely recommend.

I will have to sit with this one a bit longer than I expected. It has influenced me strangely and affected my mood over the past couple of days. Le Guin didn’t hide the fact that the book was propagandist in nature and it takes over you quite strongly. It’s riveting and the most fun I’ve had reading a sci-fi novel in a long time. Not to mention that this was my first Le Guin, ever.
