It took me a while to read, but when I committed myself to reading it I enjoyed it. Aefe's story was a brilliant addition, and I feel like the scope of the story just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I really enjoy Carissa's writing and am looking forward to reading the conclusion of the trilogy!

I'm in pain.
Honestly though, if the series had an editor, it would rate far higher. The characters and world has sucked me in, I just wish the writing was better, and someone helped the authors cut out unnecessary repetition

More unhinged humour.  I have a funny feeling Darius & Tory are going to break my heart and I don't know if I'm ready for it.

Brain rot/10.  The Caleb Pegasus rumours had me in stitches. Fae drive Faerarris, Harley Dragonsons and Yamaharpys?!  I am deceased.

I enjoyed it well enough, but I was hoping for a more nuanced take on divorce and reconciliation.  I feel like the Kings Series spends less time making me like the characters when compared to the Twisted series.  I can hardly remember character names this time around, but could tell you everything about the Twisted girls.
Quick and easy read while I was sick, and I will still read King of Sloth (it looks longer so I am hopeful!!)

The authors still say "which" too often, but I enjoyed getting an idea of what the boys were thinking while being grade-a a**holes

I don't think I'm made for "bully romance" books, because like ...bullying is bad and it made me sad?
But also, these characters are cringe and I'm so here for it.  I had a blast and I picked up the next one immediately.  That being said, why do the authors say "which" so often?  I never knew it was an ick until I read it 1000x in this book.

Definitely feels like part one of a longer prequel. I think I would have preferred if a longer prequel was published with the entirety of Max's story, rather than short 150 page bursts.
That being said, I'm looking forward to the rest
