I so love J.R. Ward's writing.  Nicely tied together 3 rd book! With enough to have me wondering if we will see some of the characters pop up in future books! I hope so.

I loved it. Inspired by true events, and written very well. I felt so many emotions, and cried happy-ending tears. Would recommend.

Oh how I loved this trilogy! Strong unforgettable characters, and such amazing battle sequences.  Impeccable finale! I want to reread everything Gwynne all over again!

I had a great time reading this , and wanted to pick up book 3 as soon as I finished. I especially like the characters, such as Logan, and Glockta. Morally grey... the torturer darker grey, but there's just something about him. Glockta's internal dialog is the most fun to read.

From begining to end this book kept me coming back for more! I loved it! 😍  The action sequences, packed with sword, shield, and blade. I can't wait to read the next book.

I loved this so much. The relationships, the found family. The way Elsa and her grandmother loved each other. The way Elsa thought about her granny, and how she interacted with everyone she came in contact with.
I love Elsa! And yes, dang it, I cried. More than once. So good!

This was an interesting look at the spiritual world, and connections to the living. The influence of those who've past may have when we still feel we need them the most.
Lan is doing her best even though she is no longer among the living to help keep her family safe but also assist in bettering the world. Her grandchildren are trying to make a positive change in their world, and those that are corrupte in power will do what ever they can to stop the movement, and stay in power. The power of shining a light on a dark truth, and sparking change... I have so many thoughts. A good book.

I really loved the POV's so far. I liked and disliked the characters we've met through them. I felt all the feels, from lighthearted joy, to 😢 grief & rage. This was of course through 3 characters.
Orka is my favorite so far. She is a bad ass shield maiden! She'd give her life to protect her loved ones, and take as many as got in her way! I love it! I am ready to continue to book 2!!!
