Zen and the Art of Paddling by Bernie Howgate

I picked this up in a small, used bookstore in Toronto. It's definitely not the best. It is published independently, and the author details his paddle up the inside passage. The premise is great, but there is no big 'thing' in the book. It just feels like reading someone's diary. It isn't very adventurous, the editing is terrible, and the author was just kind of there.

I loved this. The sections about bettering one's writing, enjoying reading, and his memories about life. It was great.

I don't know what I was thinking when I started the longest King book in the middle of my first grad semester. I HATE that it took me this long to read, but it felt like a friend that I could come back to and escape reality just a bit.
As for the novel, it is exactly what I expected. Nick Andros is one of my favorite characters that King has written. I'm glad I didn't pick this up during the pandemic. It's a great read for now. M-O-O-N. That spells amazing.

It's only my 2nd Christie book, but I don't really get it. Maybe I am ignorant or maybe Christie is just not for me.

I've wanted to read 'The Green Mile', and I recently found out that King published the book in serial form. How Dickens used to do it. I was sold, so I tracked down the originals. Story-wise, so far, it's great!
