The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

John Green is a literature genius and that is a all I have to say on the matter.
Divergent by Veronica Roth
4.0
This novel captivated me from the very first page.
In the future, people are conformed to which ever faction they are in:
Amity- the peaceful, Abnegation- the selfless, Dauntless- the brave and Candor- The honest,
The protagonist, Tris; is Abnegation, but when comes the Choosing day: an event which has every 16 year old decide whether or not to stay in their faction, Tris makes a life changing decision and and chooses to leave her faction.
After that, Tris is sent into a whirlwind of adventure, and loss and discovers things about herself along the way.
When I think about the writing, all I get is nothing. It's just blah. It's descriptive, and has a lot of imagery, but it was just off the mark, and I can't really put my finger on it.
Other than that, the characters were well developed, had a good story line, and I really loved it!
