I can see why this book is so loved now. I was going to give it two or three stars, but at it's best it's five stars. Why was I going to rate it so low? Because I could not stand the sexual stuff that happened in here. It was so gross and I hated reading about it. I guess it's realistic though? I don't know, all I know was that I didn't need to read it, and it affected my enjoyment considerably. But the parts without sex were fantastic and wonderful to read. Charlie is such a charming character and his perspective was fun to read from. Everybody in this book we felt real to me and seemed like they could exist in real life.

This book was easy to read and had a lot going on, just the way I like it! It really helped me to get out of my reading slump.
I liked the drama and Bliss's character. She was so honest with herself and she was very reasonable. At least I thought so. I don't know, as I'm writing this, I finished it a few minutes ago so my thoughts aren't quite processed.

This book is probably my first thriller. It's got just a complicated and intricate plot; the way things from earlier on come into play was so cool to me. I loved the pacing, the structure, the writing. It was all so good!
I didn't completely enjoy it though, because of the amount of swearing especially in the middle. But that's just how it is in adult novels, I guess. I did like that it lessoned the nearer we got to the end though.
I loved the characters and their relationship with each other, especially toward the end. Hopper and Nora were very intriguing and everybody was messed up in their own way without being totally scummy!
All in all, really great.

The writing was awesome, and atmosphere of this book was quiet and had a mystic quaintness to it at I liked(does that make sense??). I liked Beth's character and it was interesting seeing her transform from a nice kid to a bad kid.
But the sexual stuff and amount of swearing in here kept me from completely enjoying this. I'm sure it doesn't bother most people, but I'm not most people.
