I really enjoyed this book; whilst it didn’t have the thrills and spills of Rock Paper Scissors (my new favourite crime thriller), there was an essence of chick lit to the book which made for really easy reading.
It only took me a day to read whilst on holiday, and perfectly filled a gap… I also was eager to finish it to find out what happened!

I found this book really difficult to get into because of the lack of quotation marks. I eventually read it alongside an audible reading and coped much better as the audible version had different character voices.
Would however recommend this book to anyone medical, or interested in life in Dublin during the Spanish Flu.
Surprisingly the book was set over a total of three days, but it felt like a lifetime.

This book was a really easy read, but unlike some books I didn’t really feel that it ended. It was a bit like a really good story, where you learn loads about everyone and everything, but you never really end up anywhere.
There are though a lot of hard hitting topics and it should definitely come with some trigger warnings!

I really enjoyed this book, loved all the twists and turns and the hugely unexpected moments!
I wish that they hadn’t skipped over the last six months in the way they did, but I was certainly a great book with two great endings!

After months of thinking about this book, I have to chance my rating of this book, as I can’t stop thinking about it… I recommend this to everyone, and am super excited to read any other book by Alice Feeney I can get my hands on!

Slow to start, then tripped over myself to finish it!

I started reading this, having watched a few TikToks on Antarctica and thinking I understood a bit about the life out there. Emma brings this to life in her writing in an amazing way though, and fills the story with a bit of everything; murder mystery, romance, humour, intrigue etc.
By the middle of the book I couldn’t put it down and gobbled it up in an afternoon/evening. Such great pace, and twists and turns that keep you invested.

I really enjoyed reading this book, the tales of intrigue in a small coastal town. The subject matter was occasionally difficult to get through, but it mattered to the story, and therefore was ok.
I wished I’d learnt more about several of the characters, Kate in particular, and Cooper’s history. But maybe they’re prequels for the author!
The was at our book club a love/hate book, and I can understand why, with the gruesomeness of some chapters. But for me, I really loved it.

I really enjoyed this book, loving the effort taken to understand the clinical point of view that came across in the book.
The middle of the book confused me to begin with, but after a few chapters I loved this new aspect to this book.
By the end of the book, though, I was royally annoyed… the last chapter of Pip’s world confused me, and frustrated me! Up until that moment, it was brilliant!! I even read that last paragraph 4 or 5 times to make sure I understood it properly!!!
