I was scared going into Illuminae because it was so hyped and I was scared I wouldn't like this book but boy was I wrong! I finally picked this one up and devoured this in two or three sittings. For a mixed media formatted book with no real narrator I was shocked at all the emotions this story evoked.

I loved Kady and Ezra, they are so funny and cute together and I was rooting for them the whole time eventhough they broke up the day they got attacked.

Within this story there were so much action and high stakes that made me read as fast as I could to know what happened next.

This is an absolutely superb book by two amazing and talented authors. This is definitely worth the hype it has and will recommend this to absolutely to everyone.

100% 5 star read!

Cherry nova is a well thought out and plotted story. Right from the first page I was hooked and couldn’t believe how quick I was intrigued and had a bunch of questions I wanted answered like is Nova a vampire? If she is, who turned here into one? Why doesn’t she remember anything and so forth?

We meet Noah quite early on into the story and his encounter with Nova leaves me with more questions which is a good thing because throughout the story they do get answered! The beginning of this story is full of suspense and action-packed but as we get into the first few chapters it begins to slow down a little bit. We begin learning with Nova about who she is and what is actually going on in this story and begin connecting with the characters on a more personal level.

This is a must read for all you lovers of gothic dark vampire fantasy stories! ❤️

Omg I truly loved this story! We follow Shea a fairy pirate who is the captain of her ship. Shea lives in a world where homosexuality is welcomed and embraced with no questions asked. This story was action packed and I loved every single minute reading this story! It has enemies to lovers trope, a kidnapped prison, a rebellion and so much more within this fucking fantastic fantasy novel and I need to read the next book!

We meet such beautiful sweet characters who I fell in love with almost immediately. There was moments of laughing out loud which I loved because Shea is so sassy and sarcastic! A bloody brilliant book! And I NEED MORE.

Where the Night Reigns by Emilie Lucadamo

This story started very quickly and I was thrown right into the plot without really knowing who these characters were. I would have preferred a longer and more detailed lead up to the plot and meet and learn about the characters more.

Without even knowing the characters it switches points of view and makes it even harder to understand the characters and get to know them.

We don’t meet many characters in the story which I found good because in some stories many characters are introduced and it can get confusing and hard to remember who is who.
