Okay. The last two thirds? Amazing. Unpredictable. I read the last two thirds in one night because I was on the edge of my seat.

But the first third? I was so bored, I didn’t know how it was supposed to contribute to the plot, and I was kind of done with how often Alice called Wes hot or sexy. Took me two nights to get through about 90 pages.

In hindsight, I understand why the first third was necessary, but it wasn’t keeping my attention and I think it could have been paced better.

Basically, if you can look past through the first third of the book, it’s a really good book and the ending is amazing.

Amazing book. Not as good as the first one(though of course, nothing can beat the first one) but still a thrilling book with a killer plot twist.
The main reason for the subtracting a half a star is there were certain parts where it felt too convenient for Pip to find something out.
Specifically, when she kept forcing JoMomma as the password.
A VERY small detail in the incredibleness of this book, but still significant enough that I remember it.
Still. Read this book. Read the first one first, please, but read this one too.

It did take me a little while to read this book, and the world confused me in the beginning and I’m still lost in a few parts, but oh lord

The romanceeeeee

I CANTTTTT

I love them so much they are the number one couple and I need me a girlfriend like one of them please

The plot line was also spectacular and while in the background it still worked so well

It did flow fast I'll give it that

but it's one of those books where the second book in the trilogy isn't nearly as good as the others

lowkey hate Tris now I liked her in the first book but now she sucks

Another YA dystopian I should’ve read sooner, because what an incredible book.

I was honestly expecting to hate the main character(I usually hate female main characters in YA dystopian novels) but I actually love Tris sm and she can walk all over me-

Another banger from FT. I will read all of their books and I hope they never die because I need their books to be published until the day I die.

The characters? Perfection. Plot? Perfection. Everything? Perfection.

You could not ever change the love I feel for these characters, I envy their relationship so hard-

I actually really enjoyed this book. The storyline was so unique, and I loved the characters.

I will say that the horror element was well done, so well done in fact that I had to start a more lighthearted book to read for right before I went to bed so I was able to sleep. The book reminded me of actual cases in real life, so that connection made the book feel more real which was a good but terrifying experience.

Read this book, but read at your own risk!

I’m still stuck in a slump from Throne of Glass, so it isn’t entirely the fault of this book for not keeping me completely entertained.

I did like the storyline, I will admit the romance part was confusing for me but it was very in the subplot so it doesn’t take much away from it.

I love the character development of Arielle. No spoilers, but I loved the way she developed so drastically.

The ending though? Cruel. Utterly cruel. (It was amazing and iconic)
