Immortality: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz
I WASNT EXPECTING LESBIANS OML the shock and excitement I experienced at Charlotte and Eliza is purely unexplainable
I would say this is even better than the first one, and I think I gave the first one five stars as well. One thousand out of ten for this duology and I wish I owned it so I could read it again and again

WHAT. That ending was CRUEL.
Also Nina’s chapters were devastating each and every time you can’t do this to me
In general, amazing and would not read again for the pure emotional destruction

Considering what I thought of the first book, GOOD LORD THIS WAS INCREDIBLE.
It took me a little while to get reattached to the characters, but as soon as I did I was destroyed every chapter. Could not put the second half of the book down. Ten out of ten end to the duology.

Of all the books to pull me out of a reading slump, this was unexpected.
I don’t usually read Greek mythology retellings, they usually tend to confuse me with the number of names and mentions of myths I don’t recall. THIS, however, was very straightforward and easy to understand as far as the myths go, which was very welcome.
I also loved the characters, all of them, and I loved the side relationship so much, probably more than the main relationship. Even then, good lord was this book amazing, a satisfying ending and I’m not left with any questions.
READ THIS BOOK. Especially if you’ve been looking for a book to get you back into your Greek mythology phase.

Because I was annotating it so heavily for a school project, it took a long time and it didn’t flow very well.
However, the storyline was AMAZING. I love the writing, I love all the little Easter eggs and hints, and this writing is so masterful. I would love to read this book again without having to constantly annotate it.

It flowed really fast, and admittedly I was caught off guard by the ending. In hindsight, a lot of the things mentioned in the book make a lot more sense once you know how it ends. I also don’t know why they put that last chapter in, and I was hoping Ginny and Monica would get together tbh-
The Shining by Stephen King

This isn’t usually my genre, but regardless it was fantastic
Somehow, this is the book that has managed to make me love reading again after a 3 week reading slump, so I highly recommend
The only thing is to me at least, the first 50-80 pages were quite boring, and I just needed the action
It wasn’t that big of a deal breaker though and I LOVED the ending, so gruesome

It was definitely okay. It didn't feel like a banger end to the series, it was more mellow and I didn't feel the excitement I felt when I read the other books in the HoO arc. It flowed quickly, but I wasn't really registering much that I was reading.

I loved the characters in this book. They were all very dynamic, and I love how 3-dimensional they were. Especially August. Usually I find that mmc don't have many flaws/characteristics that set them apart, and he was definitely not like that.
Additionally, the plot of this?? Amazing. I love the whole murder mystery part, along with the fantasy element of the painting magic, and the whole world was put together wonderfully.
Lucy ily so muchat the end the ultimate wingman I'd totally be you in that situation bestie

Despite reading this for school, I loved this book. It was super easy to get the theme of the book, and I loved the characters so much.
Scythe Curie is probably my favorite character, I love her deeply, with Citra as a close second. The powerful female characters are winning with this book.
The whole thing was amazing and I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy.
