my friends and I bought this together to remind us of ourselves. with it's typical plot and typical teenage problems, I'd still say it was a good read. friendship forever <3

this book is touching. 'tis all. I would've cried but I couldn't because I was reading this in a room packed with people and wouldn't that be embarrassing? crying while reading a children's book? but yeah, seriously.

this is one of Sonnenblick's lesser achievements, in my opinion. I like his other books better.

I loved this story! this was one of my favourite stories as a child. I remember how I used to fear the big fish that ate Jonah so much. I remember how I used to admire the photos that came alongside the words/paragraphs of the stories. seeing this again on this site makes me feel nostalgic.

my greatest shame is admitting that I read this book along with the revelation that I've watched this over a thousand times when I was 11 or 10 (I'm not sure). it is also my greatest regret to say that I knew every lyric and every dance move to every song. this was a very huge part of my childhood.

from what I remember, this book did not differ from the movie itself. that'd be all.
