Contagious: Why Things Catch on by Jonah Berger

if i didn't have to read this for my viral marketing class, there's no way i'd read this on my own. it's was mildly interesting, and it might have been more interesting at the time it was first published, but now it's super basic stuff. social media/marketing/variability is constantly changing so this could be a good beginner text, but nothing i would recommend you spend money for.

this was sooo freaking good. and how often do i read a book within 12 hours anymore?! i can’t believe it took me this long to pick this book up, so so so long after everyone else had talked about it to death. but damn, better late than never!!! and this was totally worth it and i’m definitely recommending this to as many romance readers as possible

that all being said, the last 75ish pages werent it for me tbh. everything before that was sexy and amazing, but while i do like a dramatic third act, i felt like this was lacking.

but god i’m so excited to dive into the sequel ASAP

this was simply really sweet, and a solid romance. definitely teared up! but i do wish some of Henry’s flowery writing from Beach Read transferred to this one, which i know is somewhat of an unpopular opinion because most romance readers favor simpler writing. i still felt things, and was transported everywhere Alex and Poppy went, and related a little bit TOO hard to Polly, but i do wish this was a little more like Beach Read.

i was really looking forward to this book but tbh i just don’t think paul tremblay is the author for me. this wasn’t a terrible book, but it was very underwhelming.

this was a really good, really interesting read. i found it somewhere in at my local library, and the plot of the novel immediately struck me. this book surprised me, and these strange, imperfect characters are all so fascinating.
