This was like listening to a teenager who just learned what their favorite cuss word is. Seems like every sentence had the word f**k in it, for no reason at all but to be edgy and shocking. I’m sorry I lost four hours of my life on this hot mess!

I really loved the way Clare Mackintosh made me think about the motives, and suspect multiple people in the story. They were all wrong but it made for a really interesting story. You just don't know who to trust.

This book hit on so many emotions because I could relate to so much that went on in it. It would've been a five star if there weren't a couple of unnecessary side stories that had nothing to do with the main story.
