The Sins We Hide by S. Cole, Scarlett Cole

Clutch and Gwen
Read the sample and immediately borrowed it from Kindle Unlimited. It’s on my list to get and can’t wait to read the other ones.
I enjoyed this so much. The characters were complex and engaging. Clutch quickly became a favorite. I loved how open, as open as he could be in a MC, with Gwen as far as their relationship went. He was hot, not too overbearing, and so in love.
I thought Gwen was fantastic. She was a strong character, but you could also see when she wasn’t—which was okay and very human. You can’t be strong all the time. She felt real, and so did Clutch.
Together, they were fire, and their chemistry was off the charts.
A 4.5 star rating from me.

This is the second series I’ve read from a Harlow King and Eva Chance collaboration, the first being Crooked Paradise, and I’m really enjoying it.
Dead is a bit naive, but that’s to be expected. There’s not a lot as far the dynamic between everyone just yet, but I can see the beginnings of what’s to come. It’s enjoyable enough to read the next one.

I enjoyed reading this.
This wasn’t the best book I’ve ever read. It’s fast pace made it hard for scenes to really settle and move into the next one fluidly. I wish we could’ve gotten more about Lily’s past. Some things I saw coming, which wasn’t a bad thing.
With that being said, I had a great time reading it. I enjoyed myself pretty much the whole time. Darius was hilarious and I loved how he instantly took to little Iris. I laughed so much with his antics. It was an easy, fun read for me. The spice was really good, but I do wish there had been a bit more chemistry between Iris and Darius. But all in all, I did like this.

Georgie
This was a cute story. Nothing groundbreaking, but there were some emotional moments that got me. I’m also a huge crybaby, so there’s that. I liked Lola and Jackson together, and they had great chemistry.
Georgie was definitely the best part of this story. Loved everything about him, and he was absolutely hilarious. Loved how much he cared about Lola.
Overall, it was an enjoyable albeit predictable story.

Hmmm
Don’t really know how I feel about this one. It toes the line sometimes, and other times goes right over. But I have read some books where the line doesn’t exist at all, and this one does seem to have some. Will still read the next one though. Rina Kent can make some truly complex and out of the box characters. And she did warn that he wasn’t a hero.

Wow
I didn’t really know how I was going to feel about this. I don’t usually read western romance, though I will dabble every now and then. But I loved this. It was an emotional ride I didn’t expect. I cried quite a bit reading this. It was so incredibly emotional, frustrating, and heartwarming all at once.
My heart bled for Erin. The thought she had about herself and the way she saw herself was absolutely heartbreaking. And Jack carried so much on his shoulders. It didn’t have a lot of spice, but I thought that was the right decision. I will definitely be reading the next book.

Another wild ride
Everything is slowly being revealed and it seems like a web of twisted lies and truths. Absolutely loving Dess and her guys. Their chemistry is off the charts. There was more spice in this one, which I loved. The dynamic she has with each guy is so different.
I don’t have a lot to say about this one. So much happened, but it also felt like nothing happened. But I still loved it. Can’t wait to read the next one.

Had to give this 5 stars.
Out of the six books I’ve read of this series, Cruel King included, this one was my favorite. I’ve loved Ronan since his first appearance, and I loved him even more in this one. He was hilarious as always, but also incredibly. Getting inside his head, beyond the smiles and laughter, was an emotional ride that will stick with me for a while. Learning about his past was heartbreaking, and I cried for a good thirty minutes after he told Teal.
And the same could be said for Teal. Learning about what she went through, how it affected her, was almost too much for me. It felt like my heart was being ripped out. I loved getting inside her head too. She was complex and I felt for her.
For the both of them. Together, they painted a beautifully tortured picture. They were made for each other, and it was amazing watching them come to terms with that.
Will definitely be reading the next book, though I will say I’m a bit scared.

My Heart!!!!!
Can’t believe I forgot to write a review up here for this masterpiece.
The Ballad of Never After joins OUABH in my favorite reads of 2023. I LOVED everything. I had to take my time so I could take everything in. It was beautiful, heartbreaking, and beautifully whimsical. I fell even deeper in love with both Evangeline as she fought through all the punches being thrown her way, and Jacks as we got a deeper look into his inner self.
That ending… there are no words for it. I’m anxious and excited for the next book.

A cute, quick read
This is my third book by Aly Beck, and I gotta say she’s working her way onto my favorites list. This was a perfect little break from my usual dark romance. Jesse and Black were obviously meant for each other.
Now, this wasn’t anything groundbreaking, but Aly Beck definitely made me feel. I’m a sucker for second chance, so this was firmly up my alley. Will definitely continue to read more by her.
