Ruthless Empire by Rina Kent

A twist I didn’t see coming.
So, I loved everything about this. Out of the Royal Elite series, this is my absolute favorite. I devoured it and am actually a bit sad that I’ve read it. I wish Icould erase my memory and read it again.
Out of the Four Horsemen, Cole has always interested me the most. I was incredibly curious about his thoughts and the real him. He was so complex, yet so human. His obsession with Silver was almost next to none. (Aiden

A nice look into Jonathan
Just like with Aiden, I was interested in getting into his father’s head. I’m gonna hold my thoughts until after I read the next one. But I really enjoyed reading this. Solid four stars.

Grat conclusion. 4.5 stars
This was a great conclusion to Jonathan and Aurora’s story.
I came into their duet with extreme dislike for Jonathan. I started liking him a bit in the first part of the duet, but he stole my heart in this one. Despite his oftentimes overbearing obsessive behavior, I loved how he protected Aurora. And it was amazing watching him come to terms with his feelings.
Aurora was a pretty strong character. She was tenacious and knew when to pick her battles—most of the time. Her past was a complex maze that was heartbreaking to experience. But it really showed how strong she was. (I do wish she hadn’t taken so much of what she hd learned at face value. I wanted to tell her to stop and really think so many times. But I still liked her.)
They really are perfect for each other. And so loved their chemistry from the get go.
Layla was the GOAT. I LOVED every scene she was in, and I loved how supportive she was of Aurora. A friend like that, a ride or die, is hard to find. And Harris was hilarious. I did not think I would like him as much as I did. He was so sassy.

This was cute
I love epilogues like this. We get a real look into the happily ever after. I loved seeing everyone finally happy after all the turmoil they went through. I couldn’t stop smiling or laughing.

I loved watching Noah and Fisher together. Their chemistry was just did the charts from the very beginning, and only got stronger. This was a pretty emotional read, which I had expected. My heart broke for Fisher so many times I lost count. Noah was fierce and unapologetic of what she wanted, which I loved. The dirty talk between them had m both blushing a bit—not the dirtiest I’ve read—and laughing too. Can’t wait to read the next book n the series.

Enjoyable and mysterious
This was a nice set up for what’s to come. It was intriguing and has my mind racing. There are so many unanswered questions. I feel like I’ve figured some stuff out, but Rina Kent knows how to throw in a good twist. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Great end
All the truths have come out, and what crazy truths they were. As I’ve come to expect, I was not ready for the twist that came out. Some of the stuff I had figured out turned out to be true, but there were still some shocks. Reina and Asher had some crazy chemistry. I enjoyed reading this quite a bit.

Spiteful indeed
Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person so at war with themselves. Wilder was just that—wild. His hot and cold, back and forth was crazy. It was obvious that his heart was completely shattered and he had no other way to handle it besides lashing out. Hawke was so in the middle. And Kai had my heart from the jump. Emilia’s struggles rung true and real, and I could understand her hesitations and the mindset behind some of her decisions. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Dark and twisted
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when I finally got to Sebastian and Naomi’s story, but it wasn’t this. It was so dark and twisted, but I loved every minute of it. Sebastian was so unapologetic about who and what he was. Naomi took some time getting there, but it was a wild ride to watch. This might be the darkest one of Rina Kent’s that I’ve read so far.
It’s. It for the faint of heart, or for the morality police. This is dark, and you have to go in it with an open mindset and realize that some people do have fantasies like this; they do like stuff like this.
And that ending should be illegal. Now I have to hurry and get to book 2.

Beautiful end
Loved Sebastian and Naomi. It was as dark as I was expecting after reading the first one. I could see how much both were affected by a situation neither could control. Watching them find each other, learning more of their past, was amazing and I’m a bit sad it’s over. I’m really loving my Rina Kent binge.
