Started reading this right after finishing the first season of the anime. Such a solid set up for the story, and the art style is impeccable. So excited to keep reading.

Genuinely made me go insane at certain points, really solid ending to the trilogy.

Yet I well remember
The favours of these men: were they not mine?
Did they not sometime cry, 'all hail!' to me?
So Judas did to Christ: but he, in twelve,
Found truth in all but one: I, in twelve thousand, none.
God save the king! Will no man say amen?
Am I both priest and clerk? well then, amen.
God save the king! although I be not he;
And yet, amen, if heaven do think him me.

This was a slow read for a design job I have, but it has some of the best verse and monologues that I've read in Shakespeare. This is the first history play I've read from him, so it definitely took me a while to get into the groove of its rhythm but the language is so rich and brilliant, I truly enjoyed many parts of it.

When something is festering in your memory or your imagination, laws of silence don't work, it's just like shut- ting a door and locking it on a house on fire in hope of for- getting that the house is burning. But not facing a fire doesn't put it out. Silence about a thing just magnifies it. It grows and festers in silence, becomes malignant. ...

Read this at a play-reading meeting, and it was a craaaazy experience. This was my second Tennessee Williams play and even though his flawed philosophies infiltrate his work, he is great at writing a solid conflict and great dialogue.
