I really loved this book! Not enough to give it 5 stars, but close. It wasn’t anything different, of course the plot was original but it was a typical romance book. And I loved it. It was a quick read, it got me out of a reading slump pretty easily and I can see myself reading this again.

This was amazing, I read it in a day, I would have read it in one sitting if I didn’t have plans. Genuinely a top book of mine now. I see myself rereading this over and over again in the future, there isn’t a single thing id change about it

I’m glad I’m a vegan.
I absolutely loved this book. I knew it would be graphic but it was beyond what I was thinking it would be. Everything was so graphic and detailed which made me read a bit slower than usual but the writing style was still amazing. At times I feel like the author was being too descriptive, she described everything in great detail but it got to the point where things were so repetitive and I had to take a break. But besides that, I absolutely loved it

I loved it. It was amazing! The writing was amazing and it was a good type of cliche, not one where you’re visibly cringing in your seat. The relationship between the two main characters was cute and fun and made you want something they have even though it’s too good to be true. The main reasons I gave it 4.5 instead of 5 stars was because it lacked diversity within characters, and also because the synopsis and cover led me to think it would be a cheesy fun romance. Although it was that and I loved those parts, there were some things that could be triggering and those were talked about really all throughout the book. I don’t mind books like that, I like them actually, but I wish it was a little easier for the reader to realize the book isn’t as fluffy as it is made out to be before they read it.

Amazing!! I had high hopes for this book and it was just as good as I thought it would be if not better. I was worried it would be a bit of an info dump like many fantasy books can be but the world building and explanations were amazing!
The first chapter specifically was so amazingly written it felt like I was in the book. I loved the ending, it was a little predictable just because I found this book from TikTok and everyone talks about it. But still, it didn’t stop me from loving it. I think the main thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars would be the love interest part. Ultimately the entire book focused on it and even though it was there, and I was rooting for them, it seemed a little bland, almost forced. The big romance moments, the realizations, the parts that made me swoon, were mostly from the characters thoughts and internal monologue. I would have loved to read something physical about it, something more. Honestly that probably made no sense but I want more reasoning as to why these love interests are what they are in the first place.

I remember reading this book when I was somewhere between 10-12 years old. I absolutely loved it (even though I probably should have waited a few years to read it). So I’m glad I got to pick it up again as an adult. It is a y/a fantasy book and comparing it to what I remember reading as a kid, there are many things I don’t remember reading and enjoying throughout the book, things I focus on more now than then. Even though I’m older, I love it as much as I did when I was young. I do like y/a but this seemed rushed and a little too light for me. I don’t take that as a negative thing in terms of how the book was but if you’re into more graphic and descriptive books in terms of violence, people’s thoughts, and sex, this might not be for you. It’s a part of a pretty big series but the books are super fast paced you could finish all of them very quickly. This first book only takes place over a period of a few days which is why I think it feels rushed. If it were spanned out over a few months, and there was more conflict within the book and not just the ending, I would have loved it more. But I did still love it. I’m definitely going to finish the series over again.
