I picked this up with zero expectations, just to see if I would like it. The world caught me off guard, but in a good way. I really enjoyed the characters and how easy it was to get lost in the description. There were a few moments that made me quesiton why the author did something a certain way, but I enjoyed it too much to really make me stop reading.

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

Loved this retelling.
It was different.
It was fresh.
Even though the ending was clear, I still enjoyed the journey on HOW it ended.

Badass Habits: Cultivate the Awareness, Boundaries, and Daily Upgrades You Need to Make Them Stick by Jen Sincero

Can't get enough of Jen Sincero!
I personally have worked with a life coach, and a lot of what she says jives with me. This book will walk you through 21 days of a new habit, and I committed to a new habit, reading everyday.
It is so helpful if you follow the homework she gives you and apply it. I just tried doing yoga for 30 days, and followed the book.
I loved how she addressed the feelings of not wanting to do something, but puts you right back on track with the right mindset.
If you're on the fence about this book, you can't go wrong. She's got the humor and wit to match, as well as the motivation to make great changes in your life.

The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen
2.0
Personally, I did not enjoy this book. Granted, I really did find the apothecary information interesting and what the politics were in the medical world, but what I really missed was the growth between two characters. That felt rushed, and that's why I didn't enjoy it.
A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer

I know there's no original story anymore, but how you tell a story is unique these days. I enjoyed Kemmerer's work, and enjoyed the relationship between Grey and Lia Mara. A fun read and can't wait to finish her last book :)
