I adore this duology! I haven't read the prequel story yet, but I definitely plan too at some point this year.

I very rarely read books in one day, but this book blew me away!! It was absolutely fabulous and I highly recommend it.

A fantastic introduction to JC Kang's "Legends of Tivara" series. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those series where each book keeps getting better and better, and I can't wait to continue this series!

Holy shit, this book was wild?! I'm really glad I picked up this gem because it was so intense and the fight scenes were just *chef's kiss*

I was a little bit hesitant to go into this, since reading SFF magazines is a very new thing for me. But it was rather delightful, and I'm definitely going to check out more volumes from this team. Because a lot of them were unusual but very very interesting.

My favorites were: "Second Chances, Seconds, Chance" & "What Beasts We Cannot Conquer"

I've always been intrigued by Neon Yang's work and I'm glad I finally delved into it! I listened to this book on audio via Scribd and IT WAS SO GOOD!!! Nancy Wu was an incredible narrator and I'm very curious to see what happens to our twins in following books.

This book is just so magical and lovely to read. The best way I can describe this book is that it's essentially a "fictional memoir"? It's just so good, it really is.

This was one of those YA books that I always had an interest in, yet it sat unread on my kindle for literally YEARS. But I finally got around to and I'm glad I did. This was a lot of fun. I liked Joel and Maggie, I loved the big family dynamic within this story and it was a lot darker than I expected it to be, especially for a YA book.

I'd definitely recommend this one if you want a fun, quick YA read.

JC Kang is too good. The ending to this book is just *chef's kiss* and if I didn't have so many books on my tbr I'd be binging this series back to back. Natalie Naudus was a fantastic narrator as always!!
