Dang it why did I genuinely like this book. Elle Kennedy please stop making me attracted to athletes now it’s going against everything I have ever believed in. Logan is awesome and I love his and Grace’s character development. The moments between them but also their friendships are just so sweet that I literally have to laugh/squeal out loud. I don’t do that. Ever. Truly did not see these books coming.

No comment. Not my cup of tea and felt a lack of emotional investment

I didn’t think I’d like this book. I thought it would be too cheesy and feel like an obvious wet dream manifestation situation. It was definitely both of those things at some points but I didn’t expect to actually genuinely like the characters? And Briar U gives me academia easy coast vibes that Ive been craving which I didn’t expect. Needless to say I guess I’m into hockey players now… wouldn’t have guessed that one.

This book felt a little slow and redundant at first but that’s my fault for reading like six of the most popular contemporary books in one week. That being said I love the setting and the plot points. The way the story moved was different and I liked it. The ending was awesome, I giggled like a kid and I was relieved with the chill way it resolved. The writing style wasn’t my fave, I like a bit more description of actions and I kept finding my self lost on where and when the characters were. A lot of her style is very short and clipped so my brain stuttered a bit while reading, there could’ve been more flow for my liking. I enjoyed this book, and would recommend it.

I loved this so much. Emily Henry is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. Her writing feels so real. I can visualize the characters and their mannerisms and actions so easily and vividly. This story has layers that get the reader to ponder things they don’t realize they are thinking of until a realization comes. Henry’s descriptions are so impressive to me making her style feel new and beautiful while also being accessible and light enough to be comfortable (and enjoyable) to read! I love the characters and the plot. Great book.

I think I liked this one? It was much faster than the first one and I like the characters a lot actually. I love that we got to explore the world more and I found that really fun. I listened to the audiobook and it was really good! I definitely have criticisms but I enjoyed the story and characters enough to look past them. It’s a really cool world and I would recommend the duology !

I know this series and finale have mixed reviews and I totally get why. I actually really liked this ending. The main romance actually grew on me and the plot twists were pretty great. The secondary characters are really enjoyable. I can’t wait to read more of Nikolai’s story  and see the fallout of the war. All around a pretty good ending (but my expectations were quite low)
