I loooooved this book! I’m so sad that it not only took me so long to read but also that it’s now over! 😭
The plot in these books was everything! It was so fascinating to read about Egyptian gods and not Greek or Norse or any other ones. It was so amazing that so many gods held a major character slot and that other fantasy creatures were in it as well. It honestly made me look at the building of the pyramids in a different way lol like wait did they have vampires that built it during the night?! Seems plausible to me 🤷‍♀️
The feelings that grim felt for Viv made me swoon and my heart melt. The depth that you felt from the universe that somewhere out there they are together convinced me that it is real lol I need to believe a love like that exists out there somewhere.
It wasn’t only the plot that held you in but characters grew with each book and saw them emerge into the people they were always meant to be. I will be buying this trilogy for my trophy shelf so when I gaze upon her I can remember that I cried 3 times in the last book.
10/10 recommend this book for eternity.

The author was not lying when she said that this book would make cringe, multiple times at that. Because of the taboo subject nature of this book it was hard to keep going especially at the beginning but the writing just made you want to keep reading anyway. I don’t know how K Webster managed to write a book that had a disturbing plot but made you want to keep reading it anyway. The plot twists had me reeling and in disbelief by the end. It made me question so much about the characters in general but I guess you just couldn’t deny the love. Dare I say I’m actually quite excited to read the rest of series. If you pick this up though, READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!!! That is coming from someone who rarely reads them and just goes in blind. I’m very happy that I somewhat knew about the taboo subject ahead of me or I truly don’t know if I could have gotten through it. Again I don’t know how such a pretty innocent looking woman wrote this and how I’m not mad about it either 😂

This book was super good. The plot was different and super intriguing, that in itself made me want to read more. I literally couldn’t put this book down I was so invested in what was going to happen. The secrets coming to light and the interconnections that happened were perfect. I’m itching for more but unfortunately there is NO mention of a second book anywhere. The end drops a bomb of information on you as they finally go to have sex, for the first time I might add, and then boom, end! I am furious to say the least as this was published two years ago and nothing. Ending right in the middle of the story like that for a cliffhanger is just wrong as there is a difference between the two, especially with no mentioning of a second book. So for that and wasting a whole day of my time it lost half star for me. So if you want a super good book you can’t put down but ends in the middle of story and you like being tortured like this for no good reason, go for it.

Nothing feels better than adding another 5⭐️ book to my reading year. This book was a rollercoaster that I thought would crash and burn. It was 100% like watching a classic horror movie in my head. The plot twists that you saw coming from a mile away and small ones you didn’t see coming, to the weird talking side character friends, to the final girl. As every good horror movie there is always that badass girl that survives at the end, this ending though is how I personally feel they should all end; with the villain having that final girl.

Loved this book and devoured every word. Will be a book that ends up on my trophy shelf with my ghostface mask and knife next to it.

Super fun quick read. Loved the plot of a demon doing a guardian angels job. Wish it was a full length novel as would have loved to read of it.

The end of a series is always sad but I’m honestly happy I got through them all. I cannot say enough to READ YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS!!! This is hand down the most intense, gross, but beautiful written fucked up book I’ve ever read. I’ve read captured and this is even more. I’m honestly surprised this isn’t a banned book like that one. It’s amazing in every way, the description, the sound words, the story. Will forever be one of my top trilogies I’ve ever read.

Considering this is only 36 pages is one of the main reason it’s getting 4.5⭐️
Honestly all of what I can mostly say is GIVE ME MORE!!!! I want more of this story. It was obviously super quick but so much potential in what there is already. More please

Who thought me seeing one TikTok about a snickers bar being put somewhere would lead to my second 5⭐️ read of the year. There was no 3rd act break up (thank goodness), spice, emotions, growing up and finding out who you are. I’m a sucker for ‘boy falls first’ and this book delivered that perfectly. These characters anticipated what the other needed and give it willingly. Not only did it help the other grow but it helped the relationship do the same. It was perfect quick read for me, giving me smiles and feels. Reminded me exactly of what my husband does for me in so many different tiny ways that accumulate to something so much bigger. I will soon be buying this book for my trophy self, hopefully signed.

This is my first 5⭐️ read for this year. I bought this book on a whim on the TikTok shop becuz it was signed and it sounded like a good read. I am so so happy I did though as the writing in this book was beautiful. It was deep, emotional, inspiring, and just lovable. Reading though this book you feel the push and pull of the characters, their heartache, their yearning. It was deep and real. I honestly can’t say enough about this book. It hit the feels, the spice, the laughable moments, everything. I am so happy I took a chance and had a blind date with this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I was a little leery about reading this one since it’s the same author as better run and while that one was good I thought it could have had more and been better. This book though hit what the other one didn’t. It was tense and spicy and just gave everything I was hoping for. I do wish we would have gotten more of all the characters pasts and more of the emotions of them all evolving because of her and even her herself. I wanted just a little bit more depth to the characters it the story was great. It’s super cool seeing a new author blossoming into her own more and more. I’m excited to see what she puts out next.
