This book is an absolute must-read for anyone interested in the intensely punitive, carceral culture of America and how that state violence impacts our youngest and most vulnerable.

It was alright, but dark academia is not really my genre and I was a little underwhelmed by the ending.

While not explicitly stated, the MC of this book feels very authentically autistic to me. I found her very relatable. 😁

The storyline got a bit shark-jumpy toward the end and felt a little abrupt, but it was otherwise a really fun read.

Nice, basic resource for what to expect in your child developmentally, what assessment/diagnosis will be like, how to decide which interventions and programs to work with, and suggestions for helping challenging behaviors.

I liked the very Gilmore Girls cosplay-like plot of this one, but the MCs were not as compelling as Beach Read. Henry remains a laugh-out-loud funny author though, so very worth a read.

I really enjoy Meg Wolitzer’s writing, but the story here was a little meh.

Did not finish book.
Meh. I didn’t love the Clarkson series on the whole, and this one finally broke me. It just… made no sense. The “attraction” between the MCs just seemed like a trauma response that never matured. Not for me.
