WOW! This book....

I had heard so many good things about this book on both Youtube as well as Tiktok. This perked my interest in this book even higher than it initially was, I hadn't heard a single negative thing about this series. As a young adult series this struck me as weird, usually there is at least a few minor issues. No one was talking about issues at all. So I finally decided to take the plunge....

Let's start by saying, this book had me hooked right at page one. It drew me in in a way I didn't think a YA mystery thriller ever could. It was amazing! The writing style was brilliant and kept the reader (Me) intrigued and wanting to read more. I started this book on a random Thursday night, and to make my reading experience even better our power went out that night.

The mixed media of writing in a diary type log was one of the things that I wasn't initially expecting but it was definitely interesting to see how her brain was working through the information. Add in the texts, emails, drawings, ect... and I wanted to create my own murder board.

I thought I had it figured out, not completely but all the information we were given was leading me to believe it was going to be someone else. I didn't choose the most obvious but I was so far off it was crazy. This book gaslit me into thinking I was smarter than I was. I loved every second of it, and I cannot wait to pick up book 2.

I don't think anything in this series is going to get below a 4-5 star rating. I am absolutely loving this series and can't get enough.

This was my first read from this author... I have been eyeing up her Veronica Speedwell series but haven't taken the dive yet. I picked this one up from BOTM and I was not disappointed.

This premise sounded like something I could definitely get invested in. I will say that this novel moved fairly slow. There was some pacing issues I had, as the beginning started out decent with action almost right away but then slowed down to next to nothing. This caused me to feel like there was a dry spot, the information given was helpful and useful but because it started out with a bang it felt like it should be that way the whole way through.

The characters in here were all different however there voices in the story sometimes ran together so I didn't know who I was reading about or from. This caused some slight confusion on my part. The strong women in this book were a force to be reckoned with though and that made me happy. I definitely know some elderly women like this and it's not talked about nearly enough.

Overall I had a good reading experience and would recommend this book. It's not going to be for everyone but I think that if you can get past the pacing issues than you would really enjoy this read!!!

Thank you to KA Knight and her team for allowing me the opportunity to read an E-Arc in exchange for an honest review....HOLY CRAP!!!!

KA Knight is an author that has a hard grip on me. Everything I have read from her has amazed me at every turn. This book was no exception...

We have our Badass MC who doesn't take crap from anyone. She is used to doing things on her own and fighting her own battles. Her dad was a POS and she trusts no one.

We have our Harem who of course are looking for her and when they see her they know right then that they won't let any harm come to her. They will protect her at any cost, they've also gone through their own fair share of crap and at the hands of her father.

The plot in this book had me on the edge of my seat, the plot twist at the end has left me aghast wondering wtf is going to happen next.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 52%.
This book was just to drawn out, it was predictable and in my opinion bland. I couldn't get into it, the characters were interesting in the beginning but quickly lost their sparkle, the plot was an exact replica of Mr and Mrs. Smith therefore it didn't come off as original.
