I love this series. It's a funny and easy read, but still contains emotional scenes and engaging drama.

I'm surprised a 45-hour audiobook kept my attention this well! It was hard to keep track of so many characters but I found that I was interested enough in seeing where the story was going that I was able follow along. I also found that the payoff toward the end made it worth the long investment, and I'm excited to read the next book.

I absolutely loved this book. Even though I wasn't a band kid and didn't experience bullying or obesity as a child, I still identified with this so strongly. I recommend it for all teens or adults who have ever struggled with depression, or loneliness, or feeling as though you didn't belong. This book is well written, with a first-person style that immerses you in Troy's story. I felt so many things reading this book. Also, the audiobook is read by Matthew Lillard and it is absolutely wonderful.
