in the beginning i didn't like the idea of this book very much. it felt like the chapters were long, but not long enough to really get to know the characters and their stories. but as the book progressed, and i realised how much are the stories intertwined, i started really liking it. it was so interesting to see different perspectives (from different generations) on the same events and issues.
