I didn’t see that coming with Wren and Grey. I really enjoyed seeing more of the story unfold. I loved the twist and turns.

As a person who is married to my best friend and have been together for 17 years, I was completely gutted by the story of a husband who is ill and worries about leaving his wife behind. A heart-wrenching, beautifully written that shows the unsurmountable weight of grieve, the bone crushing loneliness and the spark of hope of the life you have left to live.

I hate when I read a book that others love and my final thought was "that was ok." It lacked something. The story/journey didn't feel new, fresh or unexpected. For me it was just okay.

I was sure I would like this book. I had it on my to-read shelf for quite some time. I wish I would have read it sooner. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Wanda and Melanie with Ian and Jared made such a toxic, gripping ride.

After this second read, I still enjoyed the friendship that develops between Wanda and Melanie. The fact the Melanie's love for Jared is what pushes her through those initial days of her occupation is powerful.

** spoiler alert ** The idea of selling your soul to evil for something in return in not a new concept. However, Addie's version felt new and different. I enjoyed how you see her in the present but get glimpses of her past. The fact the Addie saw Luke as "human" was a little eery. In all, I thought it was a great read.

I am enjoying where Will's story is going. I want to know where her story is going. Will she end up with Loom? What will happen to her kingdom? What will happen to the curse?

I enjoyed the idea of parallel worlds with bridges in between. Breen has a destiny she has only begun to uncover. I am exited for the rest of this series to see what in truly lying below the surface.

I will admit that I read this because of all the negative feedback this book received before it was even released. I feel people are entitled to their own opinion and found her talking points and data interesting.

I’m a little speechless and will come back and write more.

The imagery and writing was exquisite.
