Only crap things definitely went up a notch with this one. Secret government group. Brainwashing. Epic smack downs. A love that can move mountains.

Y'all these Tactical books are great. A little steaminess, mystery, crazy people and fierce love.

My heart broke for Marliyn and Noah for most of the book. Their personal demons followed them like shadows, a ever constant presence. I cheered for them when they caught glimpses of sunlight and happiness. Their healing was a mutual, gradual, and comforting thing to watch. It forged a bond that allowed love to bloom. Two broken people who found in the other unconditional support and love that made them whole again.

How does she do this every time?!?! Its like being at the top of the roller coaster and all you can do it hold on only to be left dangled over the edge with a questionable harness.

Yarros's does it again. I am blown away by writing that grips you from the first page and doesn't let go until the last. Camden and Willow are two souls that have been intertwined since childhood but have suffered so much loss they struggle to find their own personal identity outside of public perception. Camden touched me so much. I teared up as I watched Camden fit his demons. To have a character that fights so hard to be a better person is a gem.
