Nostalgic for the story. Hatred for the author’s hate.

This was lovely! Not usually a character-driven book lover, but the pacing of the conflicts and decisions made this really enjoyable.

I cannot imagine trying to read this physically and not as an audio!
This was fascinating - levels of stories within stories within plays, with asides from all manner of characters, and a fluid narrator - it is the most fluid book I’ve encountered (very much like an ADHD’er telling a story lol). Beautiful prose, adorable romance, gruesome carnage - really covers everything.

Maybe a 4??
I am not sure if I missed a key detail or if the ambiguity of it all is the whole vibe? I was intrigued and enjoyed reading it, and am left unsure about any ‘what’ or ‘why’. It’s good? Perhaps even genius??

A great fresh take on vampires! Intriguing character development and dynamics. Intrigued by the academia, and wished there was far more to it.
Could have used another 100-200 pages to fill everything out more!

Oof, this is so heavy and so light at once! Simple prose that juxtaposes the conflict of homosexuality within a religious cult.
If you need to know if it is a happy or sad ending - it is:
happy - a complete conclusion, not a cliffhanger

Highly recommend the audiobook as the author narrates it herself and I can’t imagine some of the nuance happening without her.

Super cute kid’s graphic novel that explores a ton of ideas like friendship and family expectations.

Middle grade book about navigating a friendship breakup in grade 7 (due to not being cool enough)
