blaire was weak, a doormat, too sensitive (i get she’s pregnant but geez) however, she got better towards the end of the book. i didn’t like how she always chose to run away instead of facing her problems. rush, odd, very loving, and caring though. he was smitten by blaire and i appreciated his efforts and the way he loved her was adorable. however, this boy needs to get his priorities straight.

nan, this bitch is insane. periodt. she was a waste of time. woods, a sweetheart, deserves better, more of a man than rush, didn’t break promises. i’m so happy to hear he’s getting his own HEA.

the ‘big’ secret was revealed at a weird timing. blaire not understanding that it’s not rush’s right to reveal her secret was annoying. the fact alone that she was there for four months before she got knocked is mind-blowing. their chemistry felt rushed in the first book but slowly morphed into commitment. i swear there was incest going on…?! with nan and grant?? how were they not freaked out???

the pace of the book felt rushed. sentences were awkwardly written like i can’t imagine a real human speaking like that. characters repeated words - in monologues and verbal speech marks. too much repetition.

to be honest, rush’s love for blaire was the only thing that made me want to finish this series. it’s a cute story with perfect intimacy scenes but characters are too hollow for me personally and i felt like the story could have had a different antagonist instead of that crazy bitch. like for example, cain would have been a perfect candidate but eh. anyway, the series was a good pickup to read for boredom.
