The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

i surprisingly liked this one a lot.

there were some parts of this book that i didn't vibe with simply because i just prefer more realistic books. the biggest flaw this book had for me was that it taking course over One day was just not realistic to me and it took away from my appreciation of the story. i honestly would have probably given it 5 stars if it wasn't in that one day period.

pushing my feelings from that aside, this really is just a great shameless, cheesy romance read. and i really needed this to get me out of my reading slump!

i absolutely adored daniel!!! but home boy shoulda settled TF DOWN at some points lmao. he got so attached in just a day.

i think the book has a perfect ending. i really, really liked the perspective going from character to character and getting different perspectives of other background/minor characters. it was nice seeing how they were feeling and also, in some instances, how they may have impacted the story's pathing. i haven't seen that before and i really enjoyed it!

this is the second of nicola yoon's books that i've read and i'm definitely going to be reading more of her books.

+ i refuse to picture daniel with a ponytail
