Ohhh a fantastic entry to the beginning of a new series.

The small cast really lets you get attached to them quickly and I'm so excited to see where it all leads!

6/5 stars honestly.

This book blew me away.

I ADORE all of the characters and their interactions. Probably the best ensemble of characters I've ever read.

Very strong found-family vibes which I loved. Love how the plot thickens and so very excited to read more!

I really should have read this series sooner!

This is one of those books that has been sat on my shelves for years and then when I finally start reading it I wonder why I didn't read it sooner......

I felt that overall this was a rather good conclusion to the Sevenwaters Trilogy.

I really liked Fainne's character - although she wasn't as self-assured or as confident as Sorcha and Liadin, I thought she was rather realistic.

I would say the only issues I had with this book is that around 50% through I still felt like nothing had really happened... like sure things HAD happened but the pace felt slower than the previous two books.

I'm also quite iffy on the ending... The ending where she gets Darragh just seems so unrealistic to who Darragh is a character - he is described so very often as a man of the land and a travelling man and so for him to just accept the fate of living on a rock for the rest of his days just to be with Fainne just seems so OOC...

(I've also read some of the next book the Heir of Sevenwaters and it seems like with the ending Fainne was pretty much wiped from existence because none of the children mention her at all despite it only being 4 years time gap - whether this ever gets explained or not I'm unsure as I've decided to DNF the next book for the time being...)

I am beyond obsessed with this series.

Did it break my heart when you know who died? Yes.

Will I ever recover? No.

It was lovely to see the story of Sevenwaters continue and I'm exited for the third book of the trilogy.

I devoured this book... and when I say devoured, I mean, DEVOURED.

I've been dying to read more of Marillier's works since I read the Blackthorn and Grim series and oh boy did this book not disappoint.

I feel she will fast become of my favourite if not my most favourite author by the time I've finished this series.

Sorcha will always have a dear dear space in my heart.

I feel as though this book could have been the third section only and nothing would have been lost.

In fact, I really don't think the first 2 parts of this book added anything.

To Paradise is my least favourite work that Hanya Yanagihara has published. It just didn't really work for me. It's just as beautifully written as her other works but To Paradise just failed to have that "oomph"; those lines that stick with you that you read again and again just weren't there (for me).

I fear I just failed to see the point - and I don't think it's a "I'm too dumb to see it" kind of way. I feel it's more the tales themselves were kind of.. floaty... there's a vague thread between all of the three stories, yes. But I failed to get the impact.

I guess... disappointed, would be apt.

Can't believe I watched the film first.

The book is so much better.

Whoa, this series was so good.

Just the way it keeps getting worse and worse - it just slowly descends into chaos.

It's one of those series I'm not sure if I would recommend it but I absolutely loved it.

Every character is so very flawed, not just Punpun himself.

Wild.

Kind of speechless.

Wow.

God this series is pure entropy
