A really nice easy read, albeit slightly predictable.  A perfect choice for something light and a relatively quick read

A generous two stars, I really struggled to get invested with this book. I loved the plot and the focus on impacts of allegations, and what this does to people. However, I didn’t enjoy the writing or length of the book. I think a lot of the book was wasted with unnecessary descriptions, I felt the author told you in detail about scenes and characters whereas I prefer to be shown this. The plot twist felt underwhelming and unnecessary tbh and I did skim read a large part of the book. I’m sure this would be a good read for an easy but thought provoking summer book but it wasn’t for me.

I really loved this book, well written and very beautiful, funny and heartbreaking feel to it. As much as I enjoyed, I felt it lacked something for a five star rating but would definitely recommend

It appears that this book is like marmite, you either love it or hate it and I ate it up.  Beautifully written, whimsical and horrific all at the same time. A perfect expression of girlhood and the collective of friendship, the obsession and the secrets. So good!!

Love, love, love. Didn’t change my life in the way that Project Hail Mary did but it was an enjoyable, easy read that had the classic Andy Weir humour to it. Sci fi is not my thing but I eat up anything this man writes - so good.

I really enjoyed this book but it did take me quite a while to get into as at times, I felt that the description was unnecessarily long and almost felt like an attempt to hit a word count. Overall, a good thriller and loved that it was set on/ about a lighthouse.

My first proper science fiction book and I loved it - perfect amount of humour, science and good plot. Considering The Martian is one of my favourite films, it took me way too long to decide to read the book.
