The Martian: A Novel by Andy Weir
5.0
My first proper science fiction book and I loved it - perfect amount of humour, science and good plot. Considering The Martian is one of my favourite films, it took me way too long to decide to read the book.
Throttled by Lauren Asher

I’m not sure it even deserves the 1 star - aside from the fact the F1 stuff is wildly inaccurate literally nothing happens. I didn’t really like the writing or the characters so definitely not for me. With that said, I do not like first person romances (or most booktok books) and I’m an F1 nerd so was defo not the target audience for this.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

A nice book about how life links to each other but lacking something for me
Frenchman's Creek by Daphne du Maurier

Loved this book! Whilst I prefer the story of Jamaica Inn, I liked that this was a faster pace hence the extra .25 rating. Definitely recommend and I love a strong female protagonist!
Freedom's Child by Jax Miller

The only redeeming factor was when I finished the book. The plot in principle was good but the writing was terrible and just not well executed. I don’t think it tackled themes of sexual assault in an appropriate way and to me it felt distasteful at times. I’d also say the book is too long, it doesn’t really pick up until the end. Not my cup of tea and wouldn’t really recommend.
I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman

I like the book but I don’t love it - I guess it’s the point that you are left with no real answers and it’s full of mislead hope but I felt it lacked something. Great read though and I would recommend it!
Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier

The Magic Faraway Tree: The Magic Faraway Tree: Book 2 by Enid Blyton

Such a wholesome story, so good.
Boys Don't Cry by Fíona Scarlett

I don’t think I’ll ever read this without crying - the most heartbreakingly beautiful book and one of my all time favourites.
