I am obsessed with Aubrey and everything she writes. She is one of my favourite authors. This book is no exception. It's book 2 in the Hornets Nest series and I highly recommend reading Bad Honey first. 1. Because it is an incredible read and 2 you get an introduction to our boy Cael and understand more about his struggles.
There are so many incredible characters in this series (Not you Julien). I think the found family is my favourite part. The Nest is such a beautiful place. The way everyone looks out for each other but also tells them hard truths. I both loved and hated the flashbacks to Cael's mum because they were so sweet but also broke my heart. That damn letter opened the flood gates. I was worried about how Cael & Dean's story would turn out but I didn't need to. Aubrey has our back. They're so sweet together (except for a certain chapter which is all spice). I cannot wait for Dean's book to rip my heart out.
I loved Cael in Bad Honey but I feel even more in love with him in this book. I just want to give him the biggest hug. He has such big feelings and loves so hard and watching him learn that that is a positive melted my heart. He's witty and oozes charm and you can't help but adore him. I'm not normally a second chance romance kinda gal but these two deserve all the romance. Clem is such a badass character. She's fierce and sexy and their love is so beautiful. The flashbacks to their childhood shows their bond and love evolve and they were just perfect.
This book will make you feel the whole damn range of emotions. I laughed, I cried and I giggled and kicked my feet. I you are looking for a book that rips your heart out, stomps on it and then puts it back together and gives you a little forehead kiss this is the book for you.
I'm a huge fan of Aubrey Taylor and this book with Jessica Norton is no exception. It's beautifully written and flows so well. I cannot wait for more from this series. I was sucked in immediately and was ready to fight for Logan. My heart broke for everything she'd been put through. It's a book packed full of all the emotions. I love an enemies to lovers and while this is a fast burn there was still plenty of tension.
Crew is a morally grey cowboy with serious touch her and you die vibes. He falls hard and seeing him take care of Logan and Ash made my heart melt. Logan is badass and fights letting someone take care of her. Watching her walls come down was so heartwarming. Ash was adorable and loved and protected by so many people. The ducks were too cute. I love a good found family and Bode is so freaking lovable. I can't wait for his story.
I read this book in one sitting because i could not put it down. The tension throughout the book had me hooked all the way to the explosive ending. There are so many fantastic characters and I look forward to more from this series.
