I was very irritated with Sarah for a large portion of the book. She is stubborn, independent, and determined to be self-sufficient no matter what the cost. I did enjoy the little pioneer town and all the supportive people who live in it. Finally I was happy with the ending so all's well that ends well in this case.
Ralph is trying to make his dream of HearthLand a reality and the road is bumpy to say the least. Chad and Willow Tesdale (and other characters from Past Forward) are involved throughout the volume. I am most intrigued by Annie, I want to know what her story is and what she is going to do next!
I especially enjoyed Dajon and James, they have their hands full trying to take care of the Westcott sisters. Faith Westcott has a bold determined personality and she doesn't let anyone stand in her way.
Great story! Kay Lyons Stockham did such wonderful work with her descriptions using all the heightened senses of the blind characters. I enjoyed the elements of mystery, suspense, and romance. The dogs, friends, and men are all wonderful. I'd like to read the rest of the series for sure!
Grace has spunk and determination and I love that! She's stuck out west for the time being but she literally pulls herself up by her bootstraps and sets out to find honest work. This story is so full of colorful characters and I fell in love with Grace, Raney, and Thad and his brothers. Grace be a Lady has tragedy, humor, grit, and romance. I'm looking forward to reading more of Heather Blanton's titles!
Another fun and light hearted Christmas romance! Amanda is home for her brother's wedding when she meets Dante, the "Italian Cowboy" at her local dinner. Dante is just passing through until he meets Amanda and can't stand the thought of leaving her side. Many sweet returning characters from the first book and swoon-worthy Dante is full of Italian charm.
Leah Atwood has crafted another sweet romance with hard working, down to earth characters. Come to Me Free is the second book in the series and flows nicely from the first although it would be just fine as a stand-alone. I enjoyed Dani and Rob's story and look forward to reading more books in the series!
Two sweet novellas about sisters who own a small bakery together. The sisters are over 10 years apart in age so the stories are from two entirely different life stages. I found both sisters to be relatable and the stories are encouraging.
