Claire takes the bull by the horns and tenaciously strives to solve every problem she encounters. Her naivety is both endearing and hilarious. More than once I wanted to warn her of an impending debacle or shake someone who failed to warn her!
Business is booming for our newest friend Lydia but the honeymoon is over when her stepson shows up and moves in! Lydia responds with grace and generosity while I wanted to kick that boy to the curb. Claire’s youngest son is causing her grief in the form of a surprise daughter-in-law from Brazil!
I highly recommend this series to all ages! I’ll be reading and reviewing book 3 Home to Chapel Springs soon.

Aggie is honest, through and through, for better or worse, she tells it like she sees it. She is a goer and a doer, a force to be reconned with in constant motion. When her careful plans are continually hindered at every turn, Aggie’s frustration blooms into anger.
Vannie is my girl. The way she steps up to the plate for her family is a joy that I wish more families could experience. Laird, Tavish, Ellie, and even Kenzie stand in the gap so to speak when life gets rocky. As always, the littlest Stuart-Sullivans’ antics are authentic, often humorous, and completely relatable!
Which brings us to Luke and my favorite uncle-daddy character “has his hands full!” His juggling skills are tested by toddler tantrums, flirtatious teenagers, vandals, an angry pregnant wife, no time to work, and the holiday season to boot!
Aggie and Luke are both forced to dig deeper than ever before.

This book has encouraged me AND given me practical tools to make our house a home. One quote especially speaks to my heart, “If we are in Christ, then everything we do not only has value here on earth, but also has value for eternity.”
The fact that I do the same thing, day after day after day, and never feel like I get anywhere had left me discouraged and apathetic. So the reassurance that those mundane tasks have value just because I am doing them in obedience to God’s will for my life… HUGE! The shift in my spirit and mindset has spurred the motivation that I thought had been beaten out of me for good.
I knew my house needed to be cleaned and decluttered but I had no idea how much I needed the same thing in my spiritual life.

Rosalind and Sir Randel embark on a treacherous adventure with a large load of emotional baggage. Rosalind is still determined to deny herself any happiness as she continues to grieve her unborn child. Sir Randel has regrets of his own haunting him in his dreams and occasionally snatching his awareness during the day.
Although I enjoyed the first two books of this series, Courageous quickly sailed away from my expectations and my heart just wouldn’t go along for the ride. Even though the plot wasn’t my cup of tea, I liked the characters and the thread of redemption was beautifully woven through their struggles. Watching both Rosalind and Sir Randel learn to forgive themselves and accept God’s grace as sufficient was an encouraging reminder to do the same in my own non-fiction life!

Jillian has put herself in permanent survival mode since becoming a widow and single mother. She must feel like she’s constantly treading water as her life revolves around her daughter and dance studio. I adore Jillian’s dance students, such a sweet, tight-knit group of girls.
Michael has been traveling the world and saving lives in emergency medicine but now he’s faced with new motivation to settle down in his hometown with his own practice. Y’all are going to love the small community and the willingness of folks to help one another. Michael and Jillian have such a touching and sweet story.
My thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review this title as part of the Celebrate Lit tour.

Defiance is on the road to respectability but it hasn’t quite reached that destination! You’ll still find all the rough and rowdy shenanigans of the wild west but the presence of a new lawman and the proper ladies at Trinity Hotel are surely taming the worse mining town around. There’s never a dull moment in Defiance!

I appreciate the family relationships and realistic struggles they deal with. Little Katie is a sweetheart and as a stay at home mom I found myself relating to Debbie. This book hits some serious issues head on and unapologetically with a foundation of faith.
Richard hits rock bottom when the consequences of his lifestyle are nearly too much to bear. This authentic contemporary fiction explores the impact of life choices on individuals and families.

What a fun summer read, exponentially more entertaining than watching a reality television show!!! Bethany is an everyday gal, modest without being naive, and she has a little bit of an adventurous streak.
Although starring in a reality dating show is way outside of her comfort zone, Bethany makes her way through each day of filming. The difficult director, cringe-worthy wardrobe, and unpredictable co-stars provide humor, drama, and sweet romance.
The difficult director, cringe-worthy wardrobe, and unpredictable co-stars provide humor, drama, and sweet romance. You can roll your eyes at reality television and still enjoy this fun, clean, romantic comedy!
